desperate mom of two and one on the way needs some help FAST!!

momoftwoplus1 started this conversation

I am a single mother of two children and one on the way. My eleven year old is a type 1 diabetic. Daddy is not in the picture and nobody knows where he is. Between all the costs of medication and insulin I am going to lose everything. MY lease is up and I can't afford to move. I work full time and go to school full time. I don't know what to do. I need about $3,000 in under two weeks or I'm going to lose my home for my kids, my car and my job! I make enough money to pay my monthly bills, not much left after that if anything, but I absolutely can't afford to get my piece of junk car fixed (it's burning oil and coolant) or come up with first, last and security deposit on a new place. If anyone knows of anyone at all that could help me, please, I am so desperate and terrified and I have no idea what to do! By the way I make $100 per month more than what is allowed for me to qualify for public assistance so that isn't an option. Please help me and my children. God bless and thank you so much!

Hi, momoftwoplus1! Nice to meet you. I've read your post and understand that you have quiet a bit to deal with right now. All I can do is offer you some advice and pray for you that God will help you make decisions that will be beneficial for you now and in the future. The State will provide care for your 11 year old with type 1 diabetic's insulin. They will provide him Medicaid. You have to go to your local D.H.S. (Department of Human Services) Office and apply. You can also write or call the Manufacturer of the Insulin Medication and they can help supply you with the Insulin also, just explain your situation. You can do the same with the other medications as well, they assist people who are on medication and cannot afford it. A friend or family member may be able to take you around to look for another house to rent. You can sometimes run across a very nice house that rents cheap without having to pay a deposit. You may could rent a Uhaul van for $20 to $30 a day to move with. Have a yardsale and get rid of some things you don't need and make money to help out. About your car, it sounds like you will need a "Ring job", you may can find a mechanic that does side work that will do it for a reasonable price. It usually costs around $600. for that type of work but if you find a mechanic that does side work may do it for less. You may make too much to qualify for assistance but your children should be able to get the help with medications that they need. You just have to keep trying and not give up. Relax, take a deep breath, release it slowly, then repeat until you feel relaxed. Trust God with 'all' that you are facing right now, let God have it. Allow Him to guide you. He did not bring you this far to leave you or to let you down. You work hard and you are going to school and you are trying the very best that you can. God will open the doors that appear to be closed. He will bring you through this. Trust in Him and have 'no doubt'! If you lose your home you are in now there is a reason for it....Trust in God...he may have a bigger and nicer home waiting for you at a price you can afford. I know right now you may feel that it may not happen...but I was in a similar situation 3 years ago where I needed to move immediately, car breaking down, no money, 10 dogs, and my odds were really stacked against me. I prayed hard and cried to God to help me. A couple of weeks later I was going to the grocery store and passed by an empty house that required no deposit allowed me to have all the dogs, and the rent was $125. cheaper than I was paying and the house is in much better condition than what I previously had!!! So yes, God does answer prayers! My husband was in I.C.U. I thought I had no way to move, then my friends came to help and got me moved! God will help all you have to do is completely trust Him and let Him help you to achieve your goals! I will keep you all in my prayers! God is a provider and He will help you...what He's done for me He will also do for you...for He loves you the same as me! We are His children!!!! Keep in touch and let me know how you are doing! God Bless You.....Pastor MadonnaButterfly~
